What a beautiful Old Farm, restored to its 1930s era when Jimmy Carter lived there. I loved the commentary by President Carter in the different areas of the home, Farm Store, Barns, and sharecropper homes. Highly recommended!

This historic site is quite thorough in covering President Carter's life. The Plains High School gives in-depth information and presentations from his school years through the work being accomplished through the Carter Center. The train depot, Carter's campaign headquarters, is interesting. A visit to Jimmy Carter's Boyhood Farm is quite fun and informative. This is an excellent place for children to learn and have some space to move. I highly recommend this part of our National Park Service!

Regardless of your political views, stop in Plains for the peanut butter ice cream after a very reasonabley priced meal, and enjoy the small town atmosphere. The Carter home, school and related sites help one realize the journey one couple took from a small town to Wahington, DC. Must've been amazing for them!

Great little piece of history! If you're ever passing through plains I highly recommend making this a point of interest.

Wonderful to step back in time. I took my teenage Granddaughter for a bit of living history. Peaceful and well done!!
